Pacquio dela Hoya vs. De La Hura on July 26 will be the biggest boxing match of all time, according to the fight promoter who has made the bout his main priority for 2020.
“We are just very excited,” Pacquino said Wednesday.
De La Ho is the last Filipino fighter to have been crowned world champion, beating Marcos Maidana in June 2015. “
There is no better match for us than De La Ho, who is one of boxing’s greats and has won all of his titles in a row, with a great history.”
De La Ho is the last Filipino fighter to have been crowned world champion, beating Marcos Maidana in June 2015.
The 38-year-old has been undefeated in 11 career fights, but the former Olympian is currently ranked No. 25 in the latest rankings of the World Boxing Association (WBA).
“We have already discussed a lot with Pacquín and De La.
He’s been waiting for this moment for a long time and he is ready to do everything,” Pacu said.
De La’s promoter Jose Maria Lopez de Lima said he plans to fight in Los Angeles, where the fight will be televised on CBS.
De la Hoya, who retired after defeating Marcos Maidan in a rematch in December 2020, has been active since his career ended in 2008.
Pacquinos brother Miguel has taken over his duties and Pacqui has promoted several other fights.
De la Hura, who fights Manny Pacquao in the ring in July, is ranked No, 1 by WBA and WBO.
De Hoya and Pacaquiao have been scheduled to face each other in August.
De Hoya’s promoter, Joe Esparza, said Pacquina will get a chance to fight for his last title.
